Editorial
Editorial policy
The guides and reference material on PrintReadyKit aim to be accurate, useful and original. This page explains how that content is produced and what standards it is held to.
Original writing
Every page on the site is written specifically for this site. We do not republish articles from other websites, scrape competitors’ content or syndicate generic boilerplate. When a page is updated, the changes go through the same review as the original draft.
Sourcing
Dimensions for standard paper, envelope and card sizes are taken from public technical standards (ISO 216 for the A-series, ANSI/ASME Y14.1 for US sizes, national postal standards for envelopes) and from generic conventions used across the printing industry. Where a figure is widely published and uncontroversial, we use it without specific attribution; where a figure is unusual or disputed, the source is named on the page.
AI assistance
Drafts of some explanatory passages may be produced with the assistance of AI writing tools. Every published page is read, edited and fact-checked by a human before it goes live. AI-generated draft text is not published verbatim.
Corrections
Mistakes happen. When a factual error is reported and confirmed, the page is corrected as quickly as possible. If the correction is material — for example, a wrong dimension in a standard size — a note will be added near the bottom of the page describing what changed and when.
No paid placement
Tools, sizes and presets are not promoted in exchange for payment. If display advertising is ever introduced on the site, it will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content and not embedded inside the dimension tables, guides or tool pages in a way that could be mistaken for endorsement.
Reporting a problem
Use the contact page to report a factual error, a broken tool or a suggestion. Reports that include the page URL and a short description of what is wrong are the fastest to act on.
